You reach into the mind of one creature you can see within range and pierce their mind.

The target must make a WIS saving throw, taking 4d8 Psychic damage.

Critical Success (+10). The target is unaffected.
Success. The target takes half damage and the spell ends.
Failure. The target takes full damage. You also always know the target's location until the spell ends, but only while the two of you are on the same plane of existence. While you have this knowledge, the target can't become hidden from you, and if it's Invisible, it gains no benefits from this condition against you.
Critical Failure (–10). As failure, except the target takes 1.5× damage and this spell no longer requires concentration for you.


At Higher Levels: The damage increases by 1d8 for each spell level increase.
